We are a community of passionate university students who believe that our academic privilege is a responsibility. Based at VIT Bhopal University, we identify the children of campus workers, daily-wage laborers, and surrounding village communities who lack access to consistent, quality schooling.
Pahal is 100% student-managed. Every "Pahalite" contributes their unique skills in technology, management, and pedagogy to provide a professional foundation for our kids. We aren't just teaching; we are building a support system that fosters confidence and emotional intelligence.

Why We Do What We Do
In the shadows of modern development, millions of children remain trapped in a cycle where they must start working before they learn to read. At Pahal, we refuse to accept this as the final reality.
Our Story
What began in 2021 as a small circle of friends teaching under a tree at VIT Bhopal has evolved into a structured foundation. We realized that the world was waiting for us right outside our dormitories.
Pahal was founded by a group of VITians with 5 volunteers and 10 curious kids under a tree near the campus gate.
Expansion to neighboring villages like Kothri Kalan with a structured weekend and morning curriculum.
50+ Mentors providing daily 1-on-1 guidance, digital literacy, and personal development to over 100+ students.
Our Impact Strategy
Our presence at VIT Bhopal allows us to use a multi-dimensional approach to empower local children.
Daily Morning Classes
Regular sessions on campus from 10 AM to 12:30 PM focusing on basic literacy, school catch-up, and math logic.
Health & Hygiene
Leveraging local resources for health checkups and providing workshops on sanitation and nutrition.
Creative Workshops
Using the diverse talents of VIT students to teach art, drama, and sports to build public speaking skills.

To identify every child in the Sehore/Bhopal periphery who is out of school and provide them with the materials, mentorship, and motivation required to lead a life of dignity.
